    • 从札幌或小樽站坐巴士很容易就能到这儿。山上的中心有既能说一口流利英语,还能帮助你解决有关设施问题的员工。是个适合冬季运动的好地方。还有记得一定要去试一下自然中心里的雪攀!

    • I stayed at the resort for two nights in February. Very comfortable room, reasonable size by Japanese standards, and the fitout had a very mid-80s vibe. Twin beds, window that you can open and air-conditioning that you can turn off so you don't have to remain at 25C as per most Japanese ski resorts. An outdoor hotel 'village' that took a little bit of navigating to walk around, an onsen that was indoor/outdoor and very good, fair range of restaurants and an empty bar with great martinis.Oh and the skiing? It has the reputation for getting a lot of snow, it is near the coast so gets plenty of niseko-type pow, but better because it has more altitude than the aussie heaven down the valley. The resort has plenty of slack- and back-country, plenty of trees and not too many skiing them. For off-piste Yoichi dake, along the ridge, has plenty of good lines but DO NOT go there without avi gear, beacons etc, and seriously consider a guide. This area has had its fare share of gaijin going missing over the years so take it cautiously if you are going to venture any sort of distance from the resort.

It takes about two hours from Sapporo to Kiroro ski place by bus. It also takes same hours from Sapporo to Sapporo kokusai ski place or Rusutsu ski resort. Kiroro is smaller than Rusutsu, but much larger than Sapporo kokusai. There was a pile of Chinese skiers because I went to here when it was a Chinese national holiday called 'Spring Festival'. It was good for beginners and family as there are many wide and slow slopes. I recommend that it was good for middle-grade skiers to ski at Nagamine slopes.

    • Thank God, my family and I had a wonderful experience in Sapporo, Japan, where had our first time to see and experience snow. From Khaosan, its a 2-hour bus ride to Kiroro resort. We got the all-in package so we can use any facility therein. my kids and their friends had snowboarding, others had ski and sled. We also rode the gondola where we went up, I think, 3 mountains and down. From there, we saw many snowboarders and those on ski sliding their way down. We had lunch at their big canteen below their hotel building. People keep coming to snowboard and ski, even young children. Food is good and in big servings. Comfort rooms are clean. There are also lockers available for a fee. We met a professional snowboarder from New Zealand who joined us in the Gondola. Everyone enjoyed and so at 4pm, we rode the same bus and back to Khaosan. Somehow my kids had learned snowboarding and perhaps they will spend more days next year to learn more.

    • Unfortunately, on the day we visited much of the mountain was closed due to winds. The snow quality was marginal so the tree runs were on the crusty side. And the base was crowded with school kids. I think it could be a good resort with better snow and more available runs. Still, once away from the school crowd, the resort was very quiet with easy groomers.

    • Not that many runs but lots of snow and a pleasant resort for a few days. Good facilities and the Mountain hotel is ideal for ski in ski out

    • My son & I were based in Niseko (Hirafu) with a Whiteroom Tours group. However, we got to ski a number of resorts (all 4 Niseko resorts), Moiwa, Kiroro and Rusutsu. Rusutsu was by far the best but Kiroro came a close second. Uncrowded, Great powder, great runs and plenty of fresh lines through the trees. Only let down by some of the linking runs being very long and flat (not too bad for skiers but not great for boarders).Had an absolute ball. The food in the cafeteria is excellent and great value. Can't comment on the accomodation at the resort as we travelled from Niseko each morning (about a 45 min trip). Highly recommended

    • Testing for Compression Wear Company SIX30 we needed to spend several days in sub zero conditions. Kiriro supplied that in abundance! Plus plenty of perfect powder snow. There is enough piste to keep the average skier happy but if you are an out of bound tree skier..then Kiroro is Nirvana. Though it has an official no out of bounds policy they do not police it..indeed appear to very gently encourage it. As usual once you know where to duck in the powder is absolute world class. Overall I would rate this as one of the best resorts I have skied, primarily for it's easy to get to tree skiing, the quality and quantity of powder..and the lack of skiers and boarders. The Mountain Resort Hotel is ski in ski out with a very attractive restaurant/lounge area. The buffet served here is very nice. This resort deserves 5/5, and for skiing it gets it. But as usual with most Japanese resorts the overall ambience does not cut it compared to the typical Italian or nicer USA resort.Again depends on what you are going for...plenty of POW!! then really no choice but Hokkaido and Kiroro is one of the stellar choices in this region.

    • The snow at the ski area was powdery and the facilities/gears provided were quite reasonably priced.
